What is Fenton oxidation process in wastewater treatment
1, Process principle:
To generate strong oxidants from ferrous ions and hydrogen peroxide, which can react with organic matter in wastewater and degrade it into carbon dioxide and water.
2, Application field:
to treat refractory organic wastewater, such as:
printing and dyeing wastewater
oily wastewater
phenolic wastewater
coking wastewater
nitrobenzene wastewater, etc.
3, Usage tips:
In some circumstances, Fenton oxidation reactor is used together with Microelectrolysis reactor.
This is because the ferrous ions and hydrogen peroxide produced by Microelectrolysis reactor can be directly used in Fenton reactor. It can reduce the usage of reagent and save operation cost (OPEX).
So do you know when Fenton should be used with Microelectrolysis reactor? and when they should be used alone? Please leave a comment below let’s talk about.
